This is what I have come across while smoking along and wearing the union jack on my T-shirt. In the pictures we can see the “smoking allowed” green sign with a green line drawn across the middle instead of both being red. Devising and portraying a green no-smoking sign undoubtedly consists of opposite ends distortion.
At the same time the banner owner, which is Hillingdon Hospital in Uxbridge, declares feeling proud for all the wrong reasons instead. Being proud to be free is logical in place of being “proud to be smoke-free” which is the opposite or conflicting situation that nobody wants for themselves. Instead you can declare being “proud to be free” and “proud to smoke” to have both suited derivatives! At the same time I was wearing the union jack on my T-shirt and was smoking along the way, to show them what they should have been proud of instead.
We are not as stupid not to know what green versus red denotes because of traffic lights, especially those of us who drive, but Hillingdon Hospital in Uxbridge has displayed the green sign banner next to the traffic lights anyway. Green means that you are free to act – ironically for this context – versus red, denoting that spontaneous action is not allowed.
This resembles the resentment that they feel for the smokers that they are punishing with the use of the law, the hate and hatriot of the state and state authorities directed and exercised against smokers and the sectors they are using and are depending on as the tobacco industry and trade, and the vandalism they feel which they exercise against the hope that we retain for our hopeful liberation from prohibition.
