The true size of Australia as pictured in the above sketch: Big in size of the area but with much less people, only 13 million population. Big area in New Zealand as well with only 5 million population. What is best for these people for their own freedom is to get rid of the antismoking WHO-compliant regime of Canberra just like we need to get rid of the antismoking regime of the London government here in London and in England. We must be free as individuals, but when someone decides to smoke he or she has to first pay through their noses to the tobacco tax, AUS/NZ $35 or £12. Also a big police state in all three countries, manipulating many activities of public life and even influencing politics.
We don’t like the regime of the police state of the Anglo-Saxon nationalities. Punishing innocent actions performed by equally innocent people like smoking indoors and robbing them of their income and money in order to do so. No underlying guilt in doing so, whoever does that is still innocent as far as the surroundings are concerned. What should be punished like with fines is only what is guilty or responsible for something else, like driving through red traffic lights, which endangers the lives of the surrounding people and therefore bears a consequence, smoking indoors has no consequence to punish and is unjust to be punished, and we have a moral responsibility to disobey unjust laws, like Martin Luther King once said.
The law and the punishment of the law should be taken responsibly by those who control it and is no instrument to make people do what you plan them to do and discipline people into patterns of behaviour that’s different from what they would be doing as a result of their free will. It has been dictated to society from the state on its own and does not therefore apply to society, like it had been done by a dictator. That is what I mean by antismoking regime. And it is evident that there is a police state with more illiteracy and vagrancy and less seriousness and use of your education and the antismoking regime with the police state sometimes can be seen as the same thing.
