Students must be free to develop their personality and with that their personal responsibility and their free will. To achieve that one must be free to act upon their own initiative, and you will be pleased to be reminded of the term. They must be allowed to choose what they do as long as they do not harm others, and because it is perceived that others are exposed to cigarette smoke or even vapour, so long as their actions are not directed against others, and the act of smoking or vaping is not directed against anyone!
The students must not be told what to do by others but rather must choose what to do on their own and be able to, and for that vaping and even smoking must be allowed everywhere. Otherwise each person’s free will gets cracked and crinkled and ends up being manipulated by the big state with all its bad intentions to fine and imprison people.
People must be free to choose for themselves and select their actions based upon their judgement and not the judgement that is made for them by others, which is what the counter-smoking legislation does and is responsible for. How can you develop your free will and personality if you have not smoke but vape detectors over your head and carry their burden? And the Cancer Council ACT must better concentrate on the fact that vapour does not cause cancer also according to common sense in its commentary.
I think that you are in need of more democracy in Australia than constitutional monarchy, but even if you have constitutional monarchy all the smoke bans and the rest with starting happens to be unconstitutional and these related matters regarding state defined “policy” comprise of constitutional matters that have already been decided upon by others (who do not live) and you cannot expect the Labor Party politics and their self-proclaimed policies to replace the constitution of their country with the law that is imposed on its citizens.
