The generational smoking ban inspired and proposed by the previous prime minister Rishi Sunak has been mentioned in the King’s Speech written by the present Labour prime minister Sir Kier Starmer in what shone the eye of the Health Minister Wes Streeting who was looking glowing and satisfied by what he heard.
In order to materialise this generational smoking ban the Labour government would have to rewrite the defunct “Tobacco and Vapes Bill” which is permanently shelved by the previous Conservative government. In other words even though the Labour government follows in full and complete agreement with the provisions of the bill they are still the previous prime minister’s initiative and his original idea, which would less likely be part of the King’s Speech without the decision taken by the previous government and in particular previous prime minister Rishi Sunak.
King Charles who has the power of veto against newly introduced laws by refusing to sign them in what is called the gaining of Royal Assent announced to both the Houses of Parliament that “A bill will be introduced to progressively increase the age at which people can buy cigarettes, and impose limits on the sale and marketing of vapes. My ministers will also legislate to restrict advertising of junk food to children along with the sale of high-energy caffeine drinks to children. A bill will be brought forward to ban conversion practices.”. Health Minister Wes Streeting appeared satisfied slightly nodding in agreement to what he heard as news in the King’s Speech.
Previously described as incremental but now referred to as progressive in the King’s Speech, whilst a government imitating another’s ideas or initiatives passing them on to the next, the generational tobacco purchase ban or generational smoking ban would ensure that nobody born after 2009 would be eligible to purchase tobacco from the market, even after 2027 when those born in that year would acquire their legal responsibility having turned 18. No mention was made for the underaged citizens who were perceived by default to have been born after 2009.
But what is “progressive” about growing up in a state that imposes a lifelong man-made condition to one’s rights and activities which will accompany them to the effect of one’s death? Exchanging tobacco with money was not allowed when somebody would get born and grow up rather than from the other end down. In the Republic of Ireland the parliament is in the process of approving legislation to raise the minimum age requirement to do so to 21 years, a means of effectively controlling smoking rates by minimising them to a limit that is balanced in accordance to the needs of society and its members, that has been implemented in most American states by Donald Trump in 2019. This method controls the smoking rate to what is necessary for each individual person to smoke if needed or whether not without extorting or completely eliminating smoking as it is wrongly aspired.

Well said. Thanks so much for replying to my comment. Get Nigel Farage in as the Prime Minister of Great Britian, I pray that he removes all these stupid Smoking Bans with immediate affect. The night life in Great Britian used to be amazing, it was literally destroyed over night by this ridiculous smoking ban inside Hospitals 🏥 😑 , Work places, Schools, Public transport, Pubs and Cafes. The Smoking Ban Nanny State Labour introduced in 2006 has literally killed all the traditional pubs in Great Britian.

All us smokers should just ignore any other bans or smoking adjustments under Nanny State horrible Labour Party.
What are they going to do?. Lock up 3-4 Million smokers?.
Simply will never happen. They can’t even lock up the awfull prisoners at the moment because of thier inept performance thus far.
Why any White working class Brit would vote for this Nanny State Labour Party is simply beyond me.
Please all UK Smokers all of us stick together and if this awfull law comes in that this Labour Party are talking about where you can’t even sit outside a pub or Cafe on a nice Sunny day and have a drink and a Cigarette, please I beg of you simply ignore it. People power!. If every smoker simply ignores this totally over the top potential ban for long enough this anti-white working class Labour Party will simply give up.
In New York they tried to even ban Smoking in Public Parks and everybody ignored so the local Government and Council gave up. In Greece 🇬🇷 💙 ❤ they tried to enforce this ridiculous smoking ban in Pubs and cafes and God Bless the Greek People they just ignored it and exactly the same in Thailand 🇹🇭.

Thank you for your thoughts on the potential outdoor smoking ban that is threatening the people of this country, with unjust punishment for the performance of innocent actions and exchanges. Civil disobedience is indeed a solution to the problem that concerns us as smokers, but it has to happen in large groups. Everyone is not a smoker, however. Instead, the neighbouring person is usually not a smoker so smokers have to come together in between themselves. They do this successfully with events and meetings but when it comes to the same social environment smokers are scattered around non-smokers so they cannot assemble so easily, and a solution to that problem has to be found. We have the irrevocable right to assembly and we must be able to exercise it, as you say. We have our own rights and interests to put forward along with our right to assembly, but our right to assemble has been exercised to a limited extent of holding meetings and events, not gatherings and group action, or other forms of group action other than that which is a means to make collective decisions that only affect us but not to project and reinforce your resistance to things. In this way the right of assembly of smokers is being violated by social conditions and our group is facing the problem of isolating its members.
Not to mention that our natural right to smoke regardless of where we are is also irrevocable like all other rights. We have the right to smoke, the irrevocable right to smoke, but when we attempt to exercise it under the social cohesion of doing it under a roof, we are threatened to get punished for it, and are punished for innocent actions and exchanges without being guilty or otherwise responsible for the non-existent consequences of the same action which is to smoke inside which has no consequences. A smoker is usually expected to be smoking no matter where they are, which could be inside or outside. Not only is the exercise of this right wrongfully punished by the law that has been written deliberately in order to do so, but our right to move freely is also violated when given instructions by the law about our detailed actions. About removing yourself when you have the right to move freely. And the right to move freely is a recognised human right by the very institution that has promoted its violation in respect to smokers, the UN and consequently the WHO. Everyone has the right to move freely instead of being sent outside to smoke! And everyone has the right to smoke regardless of where they are! People should be free to exercise their rights away from the punishment of the law which should not overlook society, and smokers should feel free and be free to smoke without state intervention.
Our voice should not only be heard towards the state through lobbying that is carried out by a limited number of individuals who represent us. Every smoker’s voice should be heard instead when something affects us and concerns us. But our group is facing the problem of isolating its members within the social environment. In order to exercise our right to assemble. In order to resist what’s happening. In order to take collective action or perform civil disobedience, like you mentioned.
